It has taken me years to find a sustainable laundry detergent I truly aligned with. When it comes to laundry detergent the most important thing is really that it works. For years every single time I bought a plastic container I would get frustrated with myself and try new detergents in a box (which would get moist and sticky and not really clean my clothes) you name it, I tried it. Even trying to make my own, but honestly as eco-friendly as I want to be I am not willing to walk around in stained clothes. So even all these eco conscious brands packaged in plastic was just not cutting it for me.
Then I discovered Tru Earth, they sent me a sample package, to be honest I was a bit sceptical at first. So I did not post about the product until I tried them all and washed my dirty toddler clothes with it. Well to my surprise I have finally found the brand that works for me on every level.
I now have plenty of room in my laundry room, no sticky gooey laundry spills. Organic Basics is focused on sustainability from start to finish even their web site is low impact. I really like this bra. It feels supportive yet comfortable and it is made from another great fabric called Tencel. An eco-friendly, sustainable fabric made from wood pulp. It is a biodegradable fibre that is softer and lighter than cotton and more breathable it almost feels like silk. It fairs well after washing it and has a really snug fit.
They also have wonderful organic cotton options as well as recycled merino wool accessories. I personally like to use my Tencel undies for when I exercise. As the fabric is really great at absorbing moisture. I highly recommend you try it if you like to exercise.
For your every day super comfy underwear Knickey is the place. Certified organic, breathable, simple and you can even try all the different styles in their awesome starter set. This brand is more than affordable for anyone and they have every style you could want or need. I personally tried the high rise, ever since having a baby I like to cover my stomach. When it comes to underwear I absolutely cannot leave out one of my most beloved fabrics: Bamboo! Hara delivers just that, beautiful designs with absolute ultra comfort. This fabric is beyond soft, to tell you the truth it is another must have. I love wearing this fabric when I am lounging at home or cuddling with my hubby watching a movie. I love the way it feels against my skin and I got the cutest powder blue bralette, undies and t-shirt.
Here in Hawaii I can literally hang out in these all day, all year long. The bra I got is definitely for smaller bust sizes but they also have sturdier options for bigger busts. Yet again I chose the high rise (it’s my thing right now) makes me feel like a 50’s starlet.

We absolutely love this wooden drum kit that we purchased. For us musical instruments play a great part of what we want our little one to grow up around! We have flutes, Caracas, harmonicas and even a baby piano but what he has most fun on is banging those drums. We got ours second hand from several mothers. What is great about them is they are all generally compatible with each other. I am not sure who loves this toy more our son or his dad, wether it be playing alone or with friends this toy provides hours of fun. It never gets boring because you can always set up new tracks. After doing some extensive research we found a few sets that we wanted to recommend. I truly recommend this for both boys and girls!
We believe puzzles are really an amazing toy! You can always entice your children by getting prints of things they love! Everything from floor puzzles to wooden puzzles. They are really great for developing perseverance, problem solving and eye hand coordination. Overcoming the challenges of puzzling gives them a sense of pride and self esteem. This is truly another all time favourite for us and so many parents we know. Whether you have a boy or a girl, kids love watching and emulating their parents. Unless you are extremely blessed with someone that cooks for you chances are your kids see it a lot and want to be part of the fun. Our son will make me full meals in his little kitchen and he really takes great pride in cutting his fruit and vegetables on his cutting board. As far as I can remember from friends with older kids this is a toy that lasts a long time because even 6 and 7 year olds have fed me their make believe meals when visiting friends. These are a few we found that we really liked.

We are extremely connected to all bodies of water, as are many of us. Be it in the ocean, a lake, a stream or river. I always feel calmer when close to water. I have always questioned the importance of water and which water we drink and how that affects us considering we are made up of such a large percentage of water.
Where is my water coming from? Is it alive? Has it been sitting in plastic bottles under the sun for months? How clean is it? I was curious about these things and tried to get the best water I could find.
Over the years I have tried many different water filters, from complicated filtration systems under the sink to countertop filters, to Kangen water (Which I also love for its molecular hydrogen property) , and honestly what sits right with me personally is: can I get water that is closest to the source of how nature intended us to drink it! I don’t even know if that sentence made any sense but what I mean is…. Is there a filter that would work if I found a natural water source, it can of course be tap water but I am thinking more like a natural waterfall. I eventually stumbled upon the Berkey on one of our trips, the house we rented had the filter. I was intrigued but not 100% convinced until, I went and collected fresh water from Iao Valley and brought it home to filter through my Berkey. So yes I admit I found my perfect water! I am not going to lie we do not always have the time to collect that precious water, so we sometimes use our faucet water through the kangen machine and that tastes delicious too. We try to make it a weekly ritual with the family to drive an hour into the valley and collect water from its source, and it is always a great excuse to connect with nature and swim in the cold fresh water.
The travel Berkey is the one we ended up getting and I really like the size for a family of 3 and it is easy to travel with, also in case of an emergency we can even filter rain water through it. So we are super happy with it.
On the other side, imagine never having to buy a plastic bottle ever again!! (Well almost never) When you have your own filter at your house you never run out of water, you fill up your reusable bottle, my preferred bottle when we are out and about is The Yeti (Keeps things cold for a long time) and an absolute must have for home is my Blue Bottle, which I can lay under the full moon or energise with the sun…. water does not get better than this!

These photos are not retouched! I know I know the water is a really nice color, but seriously how about the T-shirt! Iñaki absolutely loves it, he is even teaching yoga in it! This brand was a really fun find for us, as you can imagine living on an island you really don’t think about wearing merino wool.
To our surprise Merino wool is actually great, its quick drying, temperature regulating, breathable and odor resistant. So to top it off you don’t have to wash it that much, an all in all super find for our capsule wardrobes. It feels super soft to the touch and has a certain weight in it which I really like in a t-shirt. I have been looking for the right black tank top, the one you can wear to any occasion. This one is extra convenient because you can wear it back to front and change the neck line. They also carry it in off white and I think that is a good place to start using less clothing.
So I have to say the pockets are the best part of this dress but I am also excited to take it with me to colder climates. I could see myself in Berlin on a winter day in tights, a scarf and a big oversized jacket slurping on a hot chocolate too! We are really grateful about the merino wool discovery and are already looking for Atlantis to get onboard the island wool crew! Less washing, less resources, and better options.

I have worn this suit for a few months now and it is of excellent quality. I have used it for a normal day at the beach to deep diving with it to surfing. It is really well made and for surfing it is perfect as everything stays in its place and I can focus on ths sport as opposed to fiddling around with my bikini. I absolutely love the shape of this bikini and the back is just beautiful.

I can only say it is exactly as the name describes it, blue bottle love. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and imprints love onto every sip you drink from it. Traveling with a baby is no joke! Most parents know exactly what I am talking about. However you buy your first stroller before you have had these experiences….and then learn about all the annoying non useful things about it when you already own it! Years ago…I met someone that changed my life… he worked with Marma Therapy and an accupressure mat, I had just had a horrible accident and was having difficulty healing my torn hamstring. I was explained that I needed to get the blood flowing in that area….and voila.. I was introduced to my first acupressure mat. I used it to put pressure on the area and get the circulation moving. I then discovered how wonderful I felt by simply walking on it every morning for a few minutes.
