I have to be honest this is my first time purchasing Hemp underwear, I am super impressed. Absolutely love this brand. Hemp is far more breathable than other fabrics, which is kind of nice when it comes to your underwear. I also like the feel of the fabric, it seems quite durable but also soft.

Organic Basics is focused on sustainability from start to finish even their web site is low impact. I really like this bra. It feels supportive yet comfortable and it is made from another great fabric called Tencel. An eco-friendly, sustainable fabric made from wood pulp. It is a biodegradable fibre that is softer and lighter than cotton and more breathable it almost feels like silk. It fairs well after washing it and has a really snug fit.
They also have wonderful organic cotton options as well as recycled merino wool accessories. I personally like to use my Tencel undies for when I exercise. As the fabric is really great at absorbing moisture. I highly recommend you try it if you like to exercise.
For your every day super comfy underwear Knickey is the place. Certified organic, breathable, simple and you can even try all the different styles in their awesome starter set. This brand is more than affordable for anyone and they have every style you could want or need. I personally tried the high rise, ever since having a baby I like to cover my stomach. It makes me feel snug…. but I do want to try the mid rise and some of their fun colours.

When it comes to underwear I absolutely cannot leave out one of my most beloved fabrics: Bamboo! Hara delivers just that, beautiful designs with absolute ultra comfort. This fabric is beyond soft, to tell you the truth it is another must have. I love wearing this fabric when I am lounging at home or cuddling with my hubby watching a movie. I love the way it feels against my skin and I got the cutest powder blue bralette, undies and t-shirt.
Here in Hawaii I can literally hang out in these all day, all year long. The bra I got is definitely for smaller bust sizes but they also have sturdier options for bigger busts. Yet again I chose the high rise (it’s my thing right now) makes me feel like a 50’s starlet.

We absolutely love this wooden drum kit that we purchased. For us musical instruments play a great part of what we want our little one to grow up around! We have flutes, Caracas, harmonicas and even a baby piano but what he has most fun on is banging those drums. We got ours second hand from several mothers. What is great about them is they are all generally compatible with each other. I am not sure who loves this toy more our son or his dad, wether it be playing alone or with friends this toy provides hours of fun. It never gets boring because you can always set up new tracks. After doing some extensive research we found a few sets that we wanted to recommend. I truly recommend this for both boys and girls!
We believe puzzles are really an amazing toy! You can always entice your children by getting prints of things they love! Everything from floor puzzles to wooden puzzles. They are really great for developing perseverance, problem solving and eye hand coordination. Overcoming the challenges of puzzling gives them a sense of pride and self esteem. This is truly another all time favourite for us and so many parents we know. Whether you have a boy or a girl, kids love watching and emulating their parents. Unless you are extremely blessed with someone that cooks for you chances are your kids see it a lot and want to be part of the fun. Our son will make me full meals in his little kitchen and he really takes great pride in cutting his fruit and vegetables on his cutting board. As far as I can remember from friends with older kids this is a toy that lasts a long time because even 6 and 7 year olds have fed me their make believe meals when visiting friends. Who doesn’t like to run through the woods like a fairy in a beautifully flowing skirt! We had so much fun taking these pictures and in these trying times isn’t that what its all about! As simple as this sounds, how many times have you bought your kids pants with little draw strings, that for some reason do not actually work as drawstrings? Never made sense to me… Our son is lean and lanky and if he is not in diapers most pants will fall right off. Not these! The design of this particular outfit speaks for itself, so freaking cute right? But it is also functional, I can tighten the pants around his waist and the pants as well as the t-shirt have pockets. AllBirds did something very innovative and uses merino wool as well as other natural fibers, like sugar cane and trees in the making of their shoes. They even came up with their own fabric ¨Trino¨ Trees and Merino. This makes for a durable and sleek looking fabric for their shoes. I love that AllBirds has no logos and really fits into the basics of what one requires from a shoe.
Not only does this store have an incredible selection of eco-friendly shoes for your every day sustainable lifestyle but they also have actual stores located all over the world. So if you are ever curious and feel inclined to try a pair you can probably source a store near you, but if that isn’t enough you can also order a pair online and if you are not satisfied can return them within 30 days no questions asked. That to me is some good customer service.

Everybody needs a good staple cardigan in their closet! I love the simplicity of this one and I really support brands that use merino wool, it has so many great qualities. It is a breathable fabric, anti bacterial, sustainable, temperature regulating and feels really pleasant against the skin. So for me a nice oversized cardigan gets a lot of use.

I really love the puffer jacket but it doesn’t make much sense for us here on Hawaii. However it will be a go to for upcoming winters in Germany, when we get to go back for Christmas, hopefully next year.
They really go above and beyond for their natural resources from the all new chitosan fibre for their t-shirts, a fabric is a natural odor fighter, to using recycled polyester for the fillings of the jacket.
Even the detail of the packaging has been thoroughly thought out, using 90% post-consumer recycled cardboard that serves as a shoebox, shopping bag, and mailer all in one. Now that is what I call efficient and who knows what else you can use the box for once it is at your house.

This is an absolute favourite for us! A really sturdy pair of pants, reinforced at the knees, all sustainable, durable and more importantly one that can grow with your toddler. These pants have a functional draw string (I have already mentioned the importance of that for me), pockets and you can fold them up, so your child can grow into them and have them for a few years.

This is so simple and so rewarding, we purchased a glass bottle for our dish soap a while back. I purchase these very cool and sustainable refills by Clean Cult that come in carton packaging. I really love the lemongrass smell but have yet to try the others.

Not only does Tru Earth make a great laundry detergent, but it comes in strips in a tiny cardboard envelope. It is completely zero waste and eco-friendly. Honestly it does not get more sustainable than that, even their carbon footprint with shipping is minimal. This is one of the eco swaps I am most proud about in our home.

Composting is probably one of the most beneficial things we can do for our garden as well as the planet. We wanted to share some tips and resources with you. What we have used to make our garden flourish even more. We want to introduce you to the Bokashi Composting System. It is so important that we nourish the soil so that our plants can thrive. There is currently a beautiful documentary about this on Netflix “Kiss the Ground¨ which we also highly recommend.
Feeding our soil is one of the most important steps we can take towards a better future for our earth. It is as simple as composting the foods we are already using at home. Instead of those food rests ending up in a landfill and rotting away, you can nourish the soil right outside your house with it and give back to mother earth.

As a woman, and an actress, this is an area that I really love and have a learned appreciation for. I have also used and tried many a brand over time. So I like to change things up every few months, and thankfully now more than ever that is possible. These are listed in no specific order other than how I tried them. I have to say that since living in Hawaii, I have been able to use absolutely no make up on my face but I am definitely more exposed to the elements, wind, sun and of course the ocean. I am also in my forties so I have looked for products with high hydrating benefits and hey, who doesn’t like to reduce a line or two! Although I am proud of my wrinkles because that only means I have gotten this far. I like to refer to them as smile lines. However everybody likes their skin to feel hydrated and look healthy. So here goes my list of favourite conscious beauty brands:
One thing I really like about this brand is that they offer a small sample set. With beautiful glass bottles, also great for traveling. It is really convenient to be able to sample several products for a very fair price. And… yes I am really impressed with the products. The activist method is a 4 step process, and what I like most about it is the first step!
They offer 3 different oil based cleansers that you use right on your dry skin and then rinse off. Which already leaves your skin feeling super hydrated before you use toning mist, hydrating serum and nourishing oil. One of my absolute must haves is the vitamin C powder. You will just have to try it to see what I mean but my skin really soaks it up. You can use it both as a scrub or add it to your cream as a supplement, which is what I like to do.
Most importantly and what I really value about what Activist Skincare is their refill system. As far as I know this is one of the only brands that offers refills. I myself being such an ocean girl am absolutely fascinated with this brand. Their main ingredient is seaweed, it’s benefits are truly remarkable. I love to eat it so why not include it on my skin regimen.
Of the products I have tried so far my very favourite is definitely the Undaria Argan Oil. It comes as a small roller and is so handy to just throw in a handbag and simply smells spectacular. I do have to say that I have very dry skin and always have been more attracted to oils for my skin than creams but the combination of both feels super hydrating. I’m really loving the way my skin looks in the morning when I wake up after a night time application. I really appreciate the smell of this oil, it’s kind of mesmerising.
The cleansing milk, is really creamy in texture and smells like the ocean to me. They say to use it and rinse off, I myself like to apply it on my dry skin and then I use a reusable cleansing pad just to gently wipe it off.

The packaging of this brand is all recyclable or reusable which we of course love. It also looks like it has jumped right out of a 20’s movie. I got the travel set, which includes a beautiful 100 % cotton pouch. This brand is really simple and just has two products.
The rose mist and the super luxurious Sacred Serum with CBD oil (all the ingredients info here, must read) for me this Serum is an absolute winner, and not sure if it is the CBD or what but I am obsessed with the smell of the product, you are also told to spread it in your hands and take a strong inhale before you massage it on to your face. Have you ever heard of Aguaje Oil? Neither had I until I came across this awesome brand. It is one of the richest sources of Provitamin A in the world. This is an extremely high end brand, and how could it not be with such ingredients as real liquid silver and gold. It’s easy to feel pampered and radiant with these ingredients.
Julisis prides itself on its natural ingredients. I have tried the facial Serum Oil and the Sun Emulsion (even this contains liquid silver). The Oil smells wonderful and is absorbed very quickly, you only need a very small quantity and I have been inclined to use it in the evening for regenerative purposes it contains White Diamond Essence, which apparently intensifies all ingredients in their efficiency.
I am very curious about numerous other products and will give you more details as I get to know them better. The packaging is sleek and the serum bottle is protected by cloudy glass, I would have liked the Sunscreen not to come in a plastic bottle but hey we are all growing and evolving in this sustainable world. It is Reef Safe and that is really important to me.
